3M Window Films – Prestige Series (PR)
Developed by the global research institute of 3M using “Nano Technology” manufacturing techniques, this innovative film is composed of over 200 layers of optical film stacked together, yet is thinner than a Post-it note. This makes the "Prestige" window film exceptionally high-quality in terms of clarity, as the film layers are not coated with metal substances, ensuring no interference with mobile phone signals or wireless electronic devices.
The heat that enters homes comes from two sources: heat accompanying visible light and heat from infrared light that causes discomfort. However, the properties of the Prestige window film, enhanced by nano-technology, can block up to 97% of infrared radiation and provide protection against ultraviolet (UV) radiation up to 99.9%. This equates to a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of over 1700 and has been certified by The Skin Cancer Foundation in the United States as effectively helping to protect residents from skin cancer when the film is installed.
While sunlight streaming through windows can create a warm and beautiful atmosphere in a home, it also introduces heat that can accumulate over time, potentially causing fading in furniture.
